The Strafer was featured in Corrections Forum July/August 2008 magazine in a short article entitled "Less (Lethal) is More. The wave of the future in less lethal weaponry".
The article mistakenly says the Strafer "Is made of lightweight, Airsoft plastic." The article also labels the Strafer as a "BB Machinegun LTL". While the Strafer does fire plastic BBs (and plastic BBs only), the Strafer is made of aircraft grade aluminum.
While at OLTEC's Mock Prison Riot, X-Caliber Tactical was filmed by CNN and National Geographic for a piece on non-lethal technology, including the Strafer and the M134A2. Watch the video below.

Piper's Precision Products has just released a new battery powered auto-loader for the airsoft M134A2 Miniguns. This new option works with late 2007-2008 models without modification, and will work with earlier models with some rewiring. Available now for only $345. X-Caliber Tactical is an official dealer for the Airsoft Innovations line of products. They have recently announced their new airsoft Tornado Hand Grenade, which will blast 180 6mm BBs using HFC134a or propane. This grenade fires in a 3D spherical pattern, not a shotgun or disc pattern like other similar devices. As soon as the Tornado is available, you will be able to order it from us on the Support Weapons page.

Piper's Precision Products is getting close to finishing up the parts for the minigun. Once the aluminum parts are finished they will be etched and anodized. They will be working on the internals next, and, if all goes well, assembly should start in about 3-5 weeks. Those of you who have a deposit in will be first in line to receive your unit. After that, it will become a first-come-first-serve basis.

Piper's Precision Products is doing another run of A2 miniguns W/ hop-up and a few other nice upgrades! This will be a limited run of 25 units and we are taking deposits if you would like to secure one in advance. Production will begin next week. You can contact us to secure your deposit. We will be offering these units in a hand-held configuration or Blackhawk package. We are also offering an electric auto-loader that will enable you to load and fire well over 50,000 rounds in a single load. We will have limited feed chutes available for those that want the Predator or Blackhawk package. These units will have everything you need to shoot right out of the box including a 2.5lb Co2 bottle. Piper's Precision Products has announced their Airsoft M2 HB .50 Caliber Machine Gun Prototype. This fully functiional full-auto replica is gas driven and fires 8mm plastic airsoft BB's and further information can be found at the product page and as development continues, X-Caliber Tactical will post more photos, videos, and updated specs. Interested parties are encouraged to write in their thoughts of this ongoing project so that Piper's Precision Products can better develop the production versions to be sold.
January 02, 2006 Strafer - We regret to report that Piper's Precision Products just reported that there are no more Strafer MK 2 Mod 2 .177 (4.5mm) or 6mm models left in inventory for sale. There are no plans to continue the MK 2 series and thus only the Strafer Mk4 will be available once these units are sold.
X-Caliber Tactical is now accepting pre-orders for the Piper's Precision Products Strafer Mk 4 Mod 0. Pricing for the new Strafer Mark 4 Model 0 will be $1,125. The increased price is necessitated by a higher than anticipated production budget. Interested buyers are encouraged to place a 50% deposit of $562.50 now, to reserve their units. Delivery of the units is anticipated for February 2006. Deposits will be accepted in the form of a money order, cashier's check or personal check or through Paypal by clicking on the Paypal logo below. The remaining balance and shipping costs is due within 10 days of notification of completion of the units and units will be built in the order of recieved deposits. Failure to pay the remaining balance will cause the buyer to forfeit their place in reserving their unit. Cancelation of orders are subjected to a 15% restocking fee. X-Caliber Tactical will be post photos, videos, and updated specs of the Strafer MK 4 Mod 0 to the product page as the product release nears.

A new production run of M-134A2's is planned and these new units will feature improvements such as new tightbore barrels by DB Customs and adjustable hop-up that will improve range and accuracy and muzzle velocity. However there will be a cost increase of $5,600 to reflect the new improvements. Interested buyers for the second run of M-134A2's are encouraged to place a 50% deposit of $2,300 to reserve their units as soon as possible. Due to the economics and complexity and time involved with manufacturing these pieces, Piper's Precision Products will only start production after receiving deposits for 25 units and production is anticipated for the first or second quarter of 2006. Deposits will be accepted in the form of a money order, cashier's check or personal check or through Paypal by clicking on the Paypal logo below.
